The iMX event will be taking place September 12-14, 2011 in the Las Vegas Convention Center. Unlike your typical machine tool show, iMX will be more of a manufacturing educational experience. For example, there will be less exhibited machinery and more exhibits and events about the latest machining trends and processes that are being used today.
It’s good to see major machine tool companies like Mori Seiki, Makino, Okuma and cutting tool companies including Kennametal and Sandvik team up to put on a show that is geared towards the best interest of the machining industry. iMX is a group effort among these machine tool companies that will strengthen and ultimately expand U.S. manufacturing. A trade show event like this does not happen in too many other industries.
I’ve encourage and invited many of my New England machine shops to the iMX event knowing there’s a good chance that they’ll talk to my competitors. However, I know this event will also educate them in the latest machining trends that will make them more competitive. One of our largest machine tool lines, Hurco, will be exhibiting at the iMX show. Hurco is a manufacturer horizontal machining centers, vertical machining centers
and 5 axis machining centers. The iMX event gives Hurco the perfect opportunity to educate machine shops about the advantages and trends of 5 axis machining. Be sure to stop in at the Hurco iMX booth #2522
